Case: Postal parcel from China with 5 phones were detained by SKAT

5 mobile phones, imported in a postal package from China, were detained by SKAT because there was a suspicion that they were counterfeited.

SKAT took contact to the rights holder of the original mobile phones who confirmed that they were counterfeited.

The case was settled through a voluntary settlement, where the importer of the counterfeited mobile phones, agreed to pay the rights holder damages of 1.000 Dkr. and SKAT then destroyed the mobile phones.
